I'll Give You The Sun Discussion 3

Chapters 4 & 5-

Where is Noah? Where is the Noah who loved to paint and liked boys? Something happened to that beautiful boy and I'm dying to know what. The same thing has happened to Jude. What happened to these twins that they are acting unlike themselves. I really miss my Noah and I want him back soon!

In chapter 4 we discover a little of Jude's true personality but not much. We also find out what happened to the beautiful British boy that Noah I met at CSA. Guillermo took him in and helped Oscar out. This mysterious artist has me asking a lot of questions. Even with these questions I cannot help but love him and think he is a great addition to the story. I have a theory that his long lost love me just be Noah and Jude's mother. But back to Oscar, he is a hot (literally) mess and needs to figure out his feelings for Jude, and stop playing with them as well as its own. I know he has reasons why he shouldn't pursue her but if these feelings are there they shouldn't be pushed to the back of his mind and distract himself with other girls to stop thinking about her. Oscar needs to stop inhaling and exhaling girls, and start inhaling Jude and never exhaling her. Love is a powerful thing and he shouldn't take it for granted.

In chapter 5, we are back in Noah's point of view and we find a chat conversation between Spaceboy and Rapunzel who we believe is Brian and Jude. Later on we discover that Spaceboy is Zephyr not Brian and nothing happened between him and Jude in the closet. Brian spent the whole time talking about space to her. With this newfound information Noah is in dreading Brian's to return. In fact with our little alien returns Noah is literally jumping with joy at the sight of him. When Brian and Noah go back to their forest, Brian pushes Noah against a tree and kisses him like there is no tomorrow. I was screaming with joy when I read this part and had to put the book down in order to control my feelings. I love these two characters together and all I want is for them to be together forever.

After the kiss a lot of problems start to happen that may not be able to be fixed. Noah and Jude's parents aren't doing great; their dad is an empty shell and their mom is having an affair (I WAS RIGHT). Noah and Brian got caught together by Noah's mom and Brian freaks out because he's scared out of his mind that people from his school would find out he's gay and ruin everything for him. Then in a fit of rage after seeing his mom with Guillermo and Brian with Courtney's lipstick on his mouth, he outs Brian and Courtney believes him immediately being Noah is Brian's best friend. My heart is aching reading this book and I honestly cannot put it down sometimes. I am really excited to read how this fantastic story wraps up and the end but I'm scared to read the ending at the same time.
