Prologue-Chapter 12

In the past couple of chapters we are introduced to our Earth after the souls (aliens) have taken over. We meet Wanderer, an old soul who is now occupying Melanie Stryder's body. Wonderer is one of the oldest souls to come to Earth and I'm the past inhabited eight other planets. Unfortunately occupying Melanie's body was a more challenging than Wanderer, her seeker, and her healer thought it would be. Even with her difficultly in accessing Melanie's memories Seeker still presses for more in order to get what she wants. She is so determined to gain what she wants that is doesn't matter if she has to break rules and hurt people's feelings in the process; Wanderer including.

Melanie was apart of a human resistance that did not know the other existed a lot of the time but they all had one goal; to not have a soul steal their body. As of now we don't know of any living humans aside from Melanie, Jamie, and Jared but there might be more out there. Chapter 12 ends with Uncle Jeb finding Melanie/Wanderer. The whole journey up until that point was long and tiresome it was hard for me to get through. I had a similar experience trying to read Meyer's Twilight Saga and in the end I did not enjoy it, but that is my opinion on the subject and I would love to hear yours.
