Of Poseidon Discussion 3

Chapters 12-16:

Emma and Toraf's friendship is one of the best things that has ever happened in a piece of literature. They are both hilarious and their sarcasm just bounces right off of each other. It was amazing reading and seeing their friendship bud into something and I honestly want more. I love their relationship because there is nothing romantic between them; that is if you forget the kiss between them that brought out Rayna's true feelings for Toraf. Anna Banks' writes characters with amazing relationships with each other and in looking forward to them developing further.

The chapter in the book where Galen and Rayna go back home to congratulate their brother Grom was interesting to read and I loved every minute of it. I loved reading about the problems that Syrena kingdoms are facing and how it started after Grom was accused of killing his love, the Poseidon princess: Nalia.

Grom warns Galen that something bad is brewing in the oceans and that if something where to happen to him that Galen take Rayna and run. I think Grom is going to be an interesting character in our story and I hope to see more of him. I'm looking forward to learning more about the Syrena and how they differ from our opinions of mermaids. The world Banks is building is very interesting and I look forward to reading more about it.
