FINAL WORDS: Cassandra Clare's City of Bones is an enlightening and action-packed novel that leaves you with the sensation to become a Shadowhunter. Before you know it you'll be drawing runes on your arms, wearing all black, and wanting your own stele. Clare's writing is captivating and always leaves you wanting more when you finish each chapter. The debut novel of the Shadowhunter world is the perfect beginning to a journey that will probably tear your heart out along the way.

WHAT I LEARNED: Sometimes the lies we tell or are told were made to keep us and/or others safe.
