SUMMARY: Sebastian Morgenstern is alive. Jace is his prisoner but Jace doesn't seem to mind. Clary decides to be the martyr regardless of her mother's opinions or rules. Simon and Isabelle are becoming serious as they geek out over Star Wars. Alec has made a serious mistake and will Magnus ever forgive him? A war is coming and no one is prepared for the outcome.

FINAL WORDS: City of Lost Souls is the second to last book in the Mortal Instruments series. This is the first book in the series that doesn't take place just in New York. We traveled almost all over England as we tried to unfold the evil doings of Sebastian Morgenstern. Two Shadowhunter siblings, a geeky vampire, and a sparkly warlock are left to solve the answers to all the questions; which consists of some of my favorite scenes in the story. We discover how much of an evil, psychotic, creepy, killer Sebastian is and while we may hate him some of us kind of love him. Bring on city of heavenly fire!

WHAT I LEARNED: Sometimes good people do bad things.
