Aristotle & Dante Discover the Secrets of the Universe Discussion 2

Part 2 (Chapters 10-12)- Part 4 (Chapters 1-7):

The life of Dante Quintana flashed before Aristotle Mendoza's eyes. The author builds up a massive amounts of suspense that had me nearly in tears. I was wrecked with the worry and I really thought Dante got hit by the car. Instead Ari saved him but did not have enough time to save himself. The car ran over his legs and broke them just below his knees. Both boys were alive and Ari will eventually be able to walk once he was healed.

Dante cannot help but feel guilty and tries constantly to make it up to Ari. He constantly beat some stuff up about the accident because he was more worried about a stupid bird instead of his own life. Aristotle tries to convince Dante that everything was okay and to stop being so nice to him.

Now the summer is over and school starting up again. The Quintana's are moving to Chicago for the school year while Aristotle's stays in El Paso. The kids at school antagonize Ari about what happened to his legs but he refused to say until Gina gets him to cough up the truth. But of course no one believes that Aristotle Mendoza could be a hero.
