Part 6 (Chapters 1-21):
There is this theory that Ari comes up with that I thought was beautiful. He says, "Senior year. And then life. Maybe that's the way it worked. High School was just a prologue to the real novel. Everybody got to write you — but when you graduated, you got to write yourself. At graduation you got to collect your teacher's pens and your parent's pens and you got your own pen. And you could do the writing." I'm a senior in High School right now and the idea of being able to write my own story scares yet intrigues me at the same time.
Aristotle has taught me that life is so messed up and people are so closed minded but the best thing you can do is be yourself. My poor Dante was almost killed for being himself. The year may be 1988 and people are not as accepting towards the LGBT community as they are now but no one deserves to be treating this way.
My strong, opinionated Dante taught me to care for others even when they don't want to be. He is a beautiful boy inside and out. Aristotle is lucky to have him. Dante is lucky to have Aristotle too because without him Dante would not be alive.
The ending of the novel brought a smile to my face and left me gooey inside. Aristotle loves Dante! Dante loves Aristotle! All the secrets of the universe were answered that night in the desert. Love is the answer to all of our questions. Dante and Aristotle are examples of that. Saénez is an amazing writer and I hope he writes more about these two beautiful boy.Part 6 (Chapters 1-21) There is this theory that Ari comes up with that I thought was beautiful.
