FAVORITE QUOTE: "So I renamed myself Ari. If I switched the letters, my name was Air. I thought it might be a great thing to be air. I could be something and nothing at the same time. I could be necessary and also invisible. Everyone will need me and no one would be able to see me."
SONGS THAT REMIND ME OF THIS STORY:
•Can't Help Falling in Love with You- Ingrid Michelson
•Wake Me Up- Bleachers
•Sleeping At Last- Saturn
FINAL WORDS: Benjamin Alire Sáenz is the master of creating complex characters that you can't help but fall in love with. This novel taught me so many things and open my eyes so much. I loved every part of it and love the feelings I was left with. It saddens me to say goodbye, but I know I'm leaving these characters at a good part in their lives.
WHAT I LEARNED: Regardless of the year/time period no one who is different should be judged or hurt because they were born the way they are. Everyone is beautiful in their own way.
