Prologue-Chapter 6:

"I just punched a girl in the face."

To be honest I think this is one of the bets first lines in a book that I have ever read. Sydney just found out that her boyfriend has been cheating on her with her best friend/roommate. Ridge; the handsome guitar player who lives across the street; text her this information this information after Sydney asked him if he sees anyone in her apartment for her "surprise" birthday party. I would hate to find out that the person I was dating was cheating on me but with my best friend and on my birthday is beyond awful.

After all of the heart and Ridge punches Hunter in the face, Sydney ends up brokenhearted and homeless. Ridge takes her out for some birthday cake and lets her sleep on his couch for the night. In the morning he convinces her to be his third roommate just until to she gets back on her feet or until she wants to leave.

I'm only just about to start reading chapter 7 and I already love Ridge Lawson. His character is so amazing and the fact that he's a deaf guitar player makes my heart want to be out of my chest. I've always had a love and an interest in the deaf community ever since I started watching switched at birth around five years ago. This is the first time I am reading about a deaf character in literature and I think more books should give more notice to this community as well as others. I personally think it's a beautiful thing to read and learn about because it is a thing that happens to a lot of people. I'm excited to see where this story goes next whether it will become my new favorite CoHo book.
