Of Poseidon Discussion 4

Chapter 17-21:

Emma and Galen take a trip to Florida to talk to Dr. Milligan about Emma. While in Florida Galen testes out Emma's Poseidon gift with a fish that could possibly eat them if he did eat humans or Syrenas. She was able to ensure the fish after she established that it wouldn't hurt her. I enjoy reading about Emma's interactions with sea creatures any makes me want to be a mermaid even more than I did before and I didn't even know that was possible.

While Dr. Milligan was doing his testes on Emma and he discovered some strange information. After he put all the information together he found his answer to why Emma can't transform. She is not a Syrena but she isn't a human either. Emma McIntosh is half human and half Syrena! I was so shocked when I read this part that I had to put the book down in order to try to comprehend what I just read.

Galen was filled with so much shock that he had to find out more information about the half Syrenas he heard about as a child. He tells Emma that he is going to figure things out but before he leaves he reassures her that she is not an abomination to him or any Syrena he knows. Galen puts Rayna in charge; since Toraff is still looking for Paca and Rachel is M.I.A.; of watching Emma while he goes to the archives and finds more out information. Leaving Rayna in charge has to be one of Galen's worst ideas because it ends with his sister driving Emma and her into a tree after convincing Emma to teach her.
