Of Triton Discussion 1

Chapters 1-6:

Emma's mother chloroformed her? Her mother is Nalia the Poseidon princess and she believes that the mind explosion killed Grom. The first chapter was Emma recalling what happened where we last left off in the first book. Nalia fought Galen and Toraf head on. When they finally subdue her, the boys leave Reyna in charge while they go get Grom. Nalia manages to manipulate Reyna and chloroform her too. Now Nalia and Emma are driving, trying to distance themselves from Galen and the others. I appreciated the recap of information we were given because it has been a year since I read "Of Poseidon" and was a little lost.

Nalia takes Emma to a motel hoping to throw the Syrena's off their trail. While her mother is in the shower Emma calls Galen and tells him everything though she is not sure she can trust him. Nalia hears her and drag her away from the motel. They stop at a diner much later and there Nalia tells her the whole story. Still panicked she refuses to listen to Emma about Galen. She even goes as far to shoot Rachel with a gun, result in Emma driving the car off the road to stop her mother. Wow... Talk about an amazing start to a story!
