Of Triton Discussion 3

Chapters 13-18:

The past six chapters have mostly consisted of Nalia's trial. The kingdom is split into two sides, Royals versus Loyals (Jagen's people). Trackers are identifying Nalia as the Poseidon princess while others swear they never felt her pulse before. Everyone is going back and forth. Syrena are confused on which side to take and they are not sure who is to be trusted.

In the human world not much is going on besides Rayna wanting to go to school, Emma wishing that she was normal, and Rachel buying new Jetsky's. Rayna convinces Emma to get on one even though Galen warned them to not get in the water. Goliath, Emma's whale friend, pushes Emma off the Jetske and into the water to play with him. While trying to shoe him away, Emma crosses a young Syrena getting captured by fisherman. Emma rescues the young girl from the men and goliath gets hurt in the process.

Back in the Syrena Kingdom, Toraf has betrayed the Royals by revealing Emma's existence. He even is instructed by Jagen to go get her. Which he does it and Michael's with him. I'm not certain if I can trust Toraf even if he says he was lying. He does get them to the arena safe in which she shows off the Poseidon gift. When one of the trackers tries to kill Emma, Galen grabs her to protect her and Rayna lets out one of the most powerful screams. Which can only mean that she has the gift of Triton!
